The new Ford Ranger will release SUV
"It's so beautiful it could be an SUV," thought some. And it was misguided. The Ford Ranger 2011, and a pickup of bells will also be a SUV. This was published Wards Auto, which has learned that the new Ranger has been developed on a platform designed from the beginning to have an SUV variant.
This was apparently one of the demands made by Ford engineers to Australia, during the development project called T6, had in mind the subsequent launch of a model exclusively for transporting passengers and up to 7-8 people. Your marketing will begin in late 2012 (and soon), and primary focus will emerging markets, in fierce competition with models like the Toyota Fortuner. Nothing on the other side should come as no surprise.
For years, Ford sold in some countries, the Everest, an SUV derived from the current Ranger / Mazda BT-50 that has garnered interesting results in Southeast Asia. This new model, however, will be a quantum leap both technically and aesthetically, to the point that no one should wonder if a case ends up becoming a global model, standing as an option more capable than the overly civilized Ford Kuga.
