GM expands use of green oil filter
The Group reported that GM will expand its new oil filtration system, currently present in the 2.0 Ecotec engine, 2.2 and 2.4 for new engines 1.4 and 1.8 turbo that will equip the Cruze. In these engines, the lubricating oil has its impurities retained by a filter paper which is located in a compartment at the top of the engine. To replace him, just unscrew a lid and remove it.
In addition to preventing oil spills during the replacement of the scrubber component, usually located at the bottom of the block, GM announced that the technology in question is cleaner to use a recyclable cartridge and the composition of which has rubber and metal, present in the filters current oil.
