Projection imagines the new Fiat Punto 2013
The Punto is a car which Fiat is eternally grateful. Launched in 2005, the model, called the Grande Punto in Europe, has revamped the look of the brand and determined the recovery of the Italian automaker until then drowned in debt.
And it is with love that Fiat thinks the new generation that will succeed the current one, restyled last year and received the name Evo. Until then, the automaker has reduced the number of platforms used for only five in order to gain scale and cost reduction. The new Punto will use the same platform that is now called the Small Global Architecture, above the smaller, used by 500, Panda and Uno.
The new Punto may thus be an internal project for the carmaker, unlike the current, designed by Giugiaro - whose studio was bought by Volkswagen. Coincidence or not, the above illustration of a supposed Punto 2013 appeared on the Internet this week.
