2011 Ford Edge gets 19/27 mpg EPA ratings, tops mid-size V6 class
The 3.5-liter V6 version of the revised 2011 Ford Edge has finally released the official fuel economy ratings obtained from the EPA, and how its more luxurious sibling Lincoln MKX he topped his class. The Edge is at 19 miles per gallon on the urban cycle and 27 mpg on the highway space. This is a bit better on the highway than the MKX, with its 3.7-liter version of the V6. There is also 1 and 2 MPG or better than its chief domestic rival, the 3.0-liter V6 Chevrolet Equinox - despite the fact that at 285 horsepower, which is much stronger Ford Motor (the "Nox offers 264 hp) .
The big news that we are still waiting for the reviews for the 2.0-liter engine Ecoboost. The four-cylinder Equinox is rated at an impressive 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Ford is quite a challenge to these figures, however, especially with an engine expected to produce about 45 hp more than the naturally aspirated engine in GM crossover. source
