New SUV Range Rover Evoque pictures and new details
The wait is finally over! This is the first official picture of the Range Rover evoque, the production version of the LRX concept, which debuted at the Detroit Motor Show in 2008.
Bearing a striking resemblance to the original LRX concept car is the newcomer, the smallest and lightest Range Rover ever. Design chief Gerry McGovern describes the car as "a modern and relevant execution of the known Range Rover design language."
Land Rover has also confirmed that the new car will be named evoque - a name that evokes, according to Land Rover, "implies exclusivity and emotions."
The evoque will also become the cleanest Land Rover when it goes on sale in the UK next summer. Available in two and four-wheel-drive version is the greenest emit less than 130g/km CO2.
The car will be sold worldwide in over 160 countries. The package brings the right styling is the key to the car roll call, and critical to the Land Rover's plans, the appeal of the Range Rover brand to make more people.
The company also confirmed that evoque is the first time to make the public at the Paris Motor Show and will be at the Halewood plant in Liverpool, where the Freelander currently being assembled to be built. This will create 1,000 jobs in the region of Merseyside.
