Motor Trend chooses Chevrolet Volt Car of the Year 2010
The American car magazine "Motor Trend" has chosen the Chevrolet Volt "Car of the Year 2011" (Motor Trend Car of the Year). The models include extended-range electric car suitable for everyday use and bring real benefit to the buyer at lower operating costs, concluded the editorial. The Volt is also the title of "World Green Car of the Year" award, the day after tomorrow (11/18/2010) at the Los Angeles Auto Show will be awarded.
The Chevrolet Volt will come in similar form in late 2011 as Ampera in the European market. The four-seater can travel up to 60 kilometers of pure electric before a combustion engine recharges the battery and provides for a total of over 500 km range.
