2012 Opel Antara Facelift First pictures before the premiere in Geneva 2011




Last year, Opel announced that it is preparing a modernized version of the Antara, and today it became clear that it will see the motor show in Geneva, after less than a month.

The information is accompanied by photographs that reveals for the first time the interior of the streamlined vehicle. Otherwise, the update affects design, engines, transmissions and suspension of SUV model of Opel.

Powertrain of the Antara is supplemented by several new engines, all proposed units meet Euro 5 standard and feature optimized driving performance and reduced fuel consumption, comment from the company.

One of them is newly developed turbodiesel 2.2 CDTI, which will be available in two versions depending on the power. Version with 163 hp offers 36 hp more than its predecessor, while the option with 184 hp by 34 hp more powerful than the previous engine.

Weaker version requires approximately 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers and is capable of acceleration from 0 to 100 km / hour in 9.9 seconds. Stronger with 184 hp, accelerates to 100 km / hour in 9.6 seconds, requiring an average of 6.6 liters per 100 km.
