Toyota Camry hybrid starts production in Australia
Toyota has launched the production of the Toyota Camry hybrid at its plant in Altona, Australia, for entry into marketing in February. A dedication ceremony was also held with the Prime Minister of the country, Kevin Rudd. Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Limited (TMCA), which is also celebrating this year the fiftieth anniversary of its creation, plans to produce this model at a rate of 10,000 units per year, including 300 for export to New Zealand. 'Toyota Australia became the fifth country to produce hybrid vehicles, said proudly Yukitoshi Funo, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC)!
